Just remember, metal that's been bent and bashed straight is never as strong as it was. Plus, why should you have bashed metal on your "new" boat ?

Get a new one, or a pair of new ones and give him the bill.

You cant straighten stainless, not effectively anyway, once its bent, it work hardens, then wont bend back. Tried it a few times, never works. I dont know how to anneal it, or even if it can be.
