If you connect a 4 ohm audio output to an 8 ohm speaker will this reduce the output power(volume) as the resistance is higher by a noticeable amount ?
 
Just note that 8 ohms is not really the resistance. That is the rated impedance. Sort of AC resistance but then not quite as simple as that.
In nay case don't expect to put your ohm meter across the speaker and measure 8 ohms. You will measure s0omething more like .25 ohm DC.
8ohm speakers 4 ohm o/p no probs olewill
