I am amazed it is still working at all. I bought one of those when they were flavour of the month and it lasted less than 5 years. Silva did not want to know even then and it was uneconomic to repair owing to lack of bits. That was probably 12 years ago. Your radio is on borrowed time!

+1 My Silva handheld VHF outlasted the warranty for about a week......

I inherited the same S15 radio in my new to me boat, that lost its MMSI number sometimes then most times towards the end of the season. The first time out the following season it wouldnt even fire up.

Replaced with an Icom 323G, lovely piece of kit
