Radar tower

Thanks for that - next time I'll wave to them as well as Walton CG (who can't ever be looking out of their windows as they haven't waved back yet :)).
I don't suppose PLA can see me anyway as I'm usually within smelling distance of the outfall buoy.

Google Street View; East Terrace, Walton, alongside the radio tower. Lots of 1st floor windows, flagpole c/w MCA flag, car park crammed with cars, uninterrupted view of the passing trade. They've even got their own pulling lifeboat outside the Museum next door for real emergencies.
It'll be a shame when/if they're gone, and I still miss the " current weather conditions close inshore here at ......." that used to be part of the VHF forecast.

Re the outfall; the delicate aroma of perfumed detergent and, on a nice day, that flock of gulls.

A very nice lady at walton took care of my old flares a couple of years ago.

I was referring to the Holland-on-Sea what you started on about :)
