I know its a bit dubious how well these work anyway, but I saw in the months MBM a letter noting the reflector wasnt hung properly in a photo (early part of the mag).
Well, I thought that was raincatch position.. if its not, what is ? !

Rain catch mode is when you can fill up the top of the reflector , the pic in MBM has an edge uppermost so the rain would fall out
Here is mine ok its a few degrees out but the rain would stay in the top

Now someone is going to tell me I have it wrong

I am not bold enough to pass comment on right or wrong.

How should one be set to account for the angle the boat transfers to while under way ?

Do you set it for 5 knots, 10knts or the more usual cruise speed of 25 knts /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I don't think the angle matters much - I mean the roll on the boat is probably greater than the pitch. In any case, after reading MBM this month, the correct angle of attack for maximum fuel efficiency is 4 degrees which practically horizontal.

hmm, well ok , maybe a 15 degree swivel would do it, but if its that critical, its totally useless for the reasons DAKA hinted at !
