radar no signal

hi

having a problem with the radar furono it is not getting a signal sent functions on the screen are all working fine does anyone have any possible fixes for this or is i t a new radar jobby.

Start by checking the connections at each end are "bright and tight" then (no actually first) look for a bodged joint somewhere along the run, people often cut radar cables and join them to make life easy which is valid and reliable if done right but more often than not isn't and eventually fails, hardware failure apart it is the most common cause of failure I come across. lack of grommets causing chafing is another not uncommon cause on old installs.

Can you hear the scanner spinning? most common caused by lack of use.

No I cant hear the scanner spinning it has not had a lot of
use since the previous year. Do they get seized. How do I check this as I suppose this would be good starting point prior to cable connections I think .

Sounds obvious and I'm not trying to insult your intelligence but have you checked fuses? My old Raytheon has two tucked away out of sight and one had blown when I had a similar problem.

Which model radar? Do you have the manual?

Lol no im new to radar didnt know they were fused I will have yo have a good look I do have the manual but didnt have anything on the fuse location.
