radar and VHF cables

I hear that radar and VHF cables should not run parallel to each other. Can anybody provide more detail on this please? I ask because I am decidinhg between mast and pole mount.

I might not cable tie them together, but there is no problem with them both being inside the mast otherwise lots of installations would be ineffective!

This may have been true some years back when all the radar signal processing was done in the display, but not these days when signal processing is done in the antenna.
