Last weekend was Dartmouth regatta - we avoided it. Went down to the boat this weekend to discover the steering on the tender smashed and the automatic pump in the bows rather than the drain well. Talked to some friends on the pontoon and heard of two missing tenders and one missing set of oars. Various other bits 'n pieces missing.

Don't you just love 'em?

Used to keep a nice tender

Had a real good ply tender kept alongside the wall in Langstone ..... there were about 10 tenders all quite happy and no hassle.

Then one day go down to row out to boat ..... tender is upright and with great big holes in bottom. ALL 10 tenders were similar.

Called police and eports came in of young kids ranging from about 7 up to early teens were having a smashing yime dropping boulders of the wall and through our upturned tenders ....

Of course plenty witnesses - but no-one could quite describe or remember where they came from..... so tomorrows delinquents walked away and were free ...... anyway even if we had caught them - what would happen to them ? Some bleeding heart social worker would intervene and stop suitable flogging ....
