Quiet on Medway today

Very quiet up this way too - the boat yards are still full of boats and not people work on them during the week. Perhaps there should be a long weekend before Easter so peeps can get their boats ready for Easter :D

Had a first sail of the year today - Gravesend to just beyond Holehaven and back, not exactly expedition stuff. Very little wind, saw a nice big american cutter and a dutch cutter-rigged ketch, both under engine and no other sails than mine. What they are doing at London Gateway is extraordinary. Massive quay heading under construction. We will soon be able to import lots more Chinese consumer goods. Just what we need really.

well that's up to our selves (nobody forces us to buy chinese products) and if no one buys their products then it won't be needed...

Managed to sneak out for a few hours this afternoon from Chatham after a hectic week.
Really surprised to see only 3 other sails.

Day jobs can be a real PITA!

I left MYC for a motor to Queenborough about 6pm, before an early start to Ramsgate today.

Lovely sailing today with not too much East in the wind. Was worried about the forecast NE6 arriving at the Foreland, fortunately it didn't arrive until after we made port!

Hopefully the weather gods will allow Easter trip to France and Belgium...in the mean time the Belgium Bar will have to do.

Might see you there Dave, looking to leave Friday / Saturday for France or Belgium depending on the weather gods :)
