Picked a bottle up at the boat jumble... would it be ok to use this gear lube in the gear housing of my 6hp tohatsu 4 stroke outboard?

You need a high viscosity ( around EP 80 90 ) outboard gear oil.
You'd get away with an automotive EP oil but that does not contain the additional corrosion inhibitors and emulsifying agents to combat the effect of water ingress that an outboard gear oil does.
if what you have is for outboard gear boxes thats just the ticket. I think that's what you have!
