304Ah 24V bank on board now for 10days, testing various things and learning the behaviour of this tech.

First Q to ppl who already use them for some time:
How often do you get them to top balance level of charge? I mean I've set them up to start top balancing at 3.45V per cell, I don't really want to get them up there often and my plan is that if the deviation between cells remains where it is now (4-20mV at various levels of charge/discharge) not to bother often during the season.

Second Q to ppl who run them in parallel with deep cycle FLA:
I have my 4XT105RE Trojans in parallel, so now Trojans only get a charge to under 28V (and not often) Any ill effects I may expect (sulfation/dendrites builtup/whatever)? They will get a higher level of charge up to 29V only on long motoring sessions where LiFePO4 bank will go offline due to not having sorted a LiFePO4 friendly alternator regulator/ B2B/whatever (and based on my usage pattern I doubt I will)

cheers
V.

I would have a look at off grid garage on YouTube, Andy covers top balancing and all other topics in great practical detail

I set my balance lower, so they get balanced regularily. It's a slow process. When I had it set higher they started to wander a bit. I'm only a user though, not an expert.
I have sla in parallell. Generally everything sits around 13.4 (26.8) I've not had them go offline on charge yet.

Keeping levels lower seems to be the norm now, all the early stuff of cell compression, fancy buss bars etc seem to be giving way to common sound engineering. From what I’ve seen the effort needed to try and get the last 5% appears not worth it in the real world
