I've been asked to crew on a delivery trip from Majorca to Lanzarotte soon. I took about 0.5 second to accept. Is this about right?

Yes, assuming its a decent boat, eg a 42 footer, possibly Swedish. And of course with a decent skipper.... as he may be reading this, I am sure he is a good chap /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gifetc...

Would not only look for Swedish boat but also for young female Swedish crew........you can then be guaranteed a safe and happy passage!!!!!!

All SOLAS required equipment,
enough food for the trip. not just FB pies.
crew to stand watches.
full paper work,

No worries Julie, boat will be well equiped and I've been sailing with the skipper for a while now and have every confidence in his abilities.

Just tested my reaction time here - http://www.getyourwebsitehere.com/jswb/rttest01.html - 0.212 sec, so I guess you are correct, 0.5 sec was rather a long time to consider the offer /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
