Quick calorifier leaking pressure valve

My Quick calorifier has a leaking pressure relief valve. Quick in Italy tell me it's a 1/4 inch type, no longer available. They suggest replacing with a 1/2 inch type with adapters to suit. Space to construct with extra parts may be a problem. I'm wondering, if I dismantle it what is inside as a seal? Is it like a ball cock valve with a rubber washer? If that is the case I may attempt a repair.
Any suggestions or advice?

You won't be able to repair it

Standard half inch PRV is less than a tenner from the plumbers merchants. If you can get the adapter in, it's not worth repairing.

1/4" male to 1/2" BSP female adapter, about £3, 3 bar 1/2" BSP PRV, about £5 the adaptor (or reducer) takes up no room at all, just replace it.

Leaking as in leaking out, or leaking back into the return? For the latter, if there is a knob on the top, give it a few turns.
