Quick and Easy Boat Food

For bulk - gnocchi, dried pasta (including packets of filled pasta), potatoes (tinned or fresh (used to keep my spuds and veg cool under the floorboards), cous-cous, long life pitta bread; continental style 'black' bread (thin slices of tasty, dense (rye, etc.) bread (lasts for months unopened); lentils (pre-cooked packets).

For tasty - bags or tins of various stews/chilli con (or san!) carne (wide variety available); dried sausage (eg chorizo etc.) lasts well - chuck a few slices into almost anything; packets of fancy sauces such as tagine (a whole different league to the ususally dire cook-in sauces in bottlles and cans.); hard chese such as parmesan; tube of tomato puree.

Simple ways to add interest to things - dried herbs, spices & garlic; Worcester sauce, soy sauce, or reggae-reggae sauce; chuck in a tin of (or some fresh) veg to liven up & bulk out things;

And also - omelettes (get a plastic camping egg carrier to store them) with, e.g., a few potatoes and/or leftover veg with some dried sausage and/or cheese; beansprouts (fresh every day!).
