Hi I'm Catherine from Premier Marinas,

Following two really good 'Ask the Expert' sessions with George Girdis (Bespoke Yacht Services) and Sean Noble (Ancasta) - Premier Marinas is pleased to announce that our next online workshop will be with Landau UK’s Managing Director, Ben Metcalfe. Make sure you visit www.facebook.com/premiermarinasuk tomorrow (Friday 5th April) at 1pm to ask Ben your questions about ‘de-winterising your boat’. He will be online for one-hour only, so why not use Friday’s lunch hour to get some free, practical advice on preparing your boat for the new season! Read more about Ben on our website by following this link: http://goo.gl/iJiXR.

I was somewhat dubious as to whether there was actually any useful information exchanged via these events, so went to their facebook page to read an existing example. However, the only comments I could see from non-staff-members was someone complaining that they had misused his phone number to send spam texts :)

So do they delete the discussions after they happen, is it simply Facebook's rubbish UI meaning I can't find them, or does nobody actually show up? :D

Pete

Hi Pete,

The discussions remain on our Facebook Page. You can view them by visiting www.facebook.com/premiermarinasuk - simply scroll down our 'timeline' to read the sessions we have done previously with George and Sean. The image attached will give you a flavour of the discussions we have had so far. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

So they do. The "Facebook rubbish UI" option, then :). What threw me was assuming that their so-called "timeline" was in time order, and that a discussion would come later than your posts advertising it. Yet another reason I dislike Facebook, but not your fault.

Not sure I need to (virtually) attend a special event to ask the sort of questions that are answered continually on these forums, but I guess some people got some value from it.

I looked at it at 1340 last Friday and found nothing at all. I do not claim to be a Facebook expert but there seems to be a problem somewhere.

Hi vyv_cox, sorry to see that you could not find the discussion. All of our 'Ask the Expert' discussions with George, Sean and Ben remain on our main Facebook Page, visit - www.facebook.com/premiermarinasuk. Friday's 'Ask the Expert' sessions are generally actioned with the following sentence (or similar): 'Ben is here now ready to answer your questions about preparing your boat for the new season...' Ben's session generated over 17 comments so I would advise looking out for posts with lots of activity! As stated previously in this thread, you can scroll down Premier Marinas' 'timeline' to read previous discussions. I have attached another image to help you navigate to Ben's session. He provided some really useful advice. I hope you find it worthwhile too and please do join in with Friday's 'Ask the Expert' session at 1pm with John Tuckwell from Premier Marine Insurance.
