Question for those with a 2GM20

The sea water cooling hose runs up the front of the engine - when I was out last w/e noticed lots of water on the cabin sole and found the pulley/fly wheel had eroded through the pipe and was spraying everywhere. Anyone else had this? Think I'll do a temp fix with "leak stop" and some heavy duty waterproof tape.

Not had this problem. Can't remember the exact arrangement but does the hose just need to be turned round a bit at the coupling?

My last boat had the 2GM20 and the hose always looked a bit vulnerable.

I made sure when I fitted it that I tightened the bottom end first and then put a biy of twist in before tightening the top so there was clearance from the pulley.

As a belt braces and bit of string man I kept a spare length of hose as well.
