On the front of the Perkins 4.108, I think there's great big bolt for cranking the motor by hand?

I think it MAY be about 38-40mm. A biggie for sure;-)

Anyone here know the size for a socket?

It'll be a bit bigger than your second largest socket, but nothing like as big as your largest.

It's one and a half inches AF.
