colloquial American English phrase meaning "everything, the whole lot" or, when used as an adjective, "all the way", as in.........
Our local council who tend to be a bit parsimonious, have in the past basically ignored the river and been reluctant to promote its benefits.
However having looked down the back of the corporation sofa they have discovered some money for the Jubilee.
Over 100 boats puttung in an appearance ........................................and it is rumoured our elected representatives will be providing a fish and chip supper for all participating crews.
Everyman has his price.
We will be appearing in the "Slightly Down at Heel Gin Palace " section of the flotilla.
The sailpast will be taking part during the Dickens Festival weekend.

Might manage both, may go next week as weather looks fine. I have signal flags pre-tied in some kind of order which I have always assumed was correct. I am sure you will know!!!

Just ordered some large proper sewn cotton signal flags from India to replace my existing nasty cheap printed plastic horrors.
Hopefully they will be here before the QJP in June.

The fish and chips will be accompanied by gin from the Pump House but whether that too will be free is not known.

The alternative RCC event, is a cruise to Ramsgate ie. fuel bill for £ 170 (the economical boats) plus moorings and you can do Ramsgate any old time.
The QJP is a one off event.

I did notice that vastly inferior, "bumping around North Foreland" cruise participation list has filled up and run off the bottom of the sheet, in stark contrast to the empty QJP list...

Have been refraining from filling in the QJP boat names in order to give the "Hair Shirt Cruise" a fair chance to get at couple of names on the list

.......................and a 21 gun cannon salute from the fort........................as opposed to the delights of wondering just how much worse its going to get as you go round the North Foreland and the prospect of no sleep as the boat surges to and fro in the swell.
and of course listening to 05.30 Gale Forecast and wondering exactly how is the train fare home while the nights in Ramsgit rack up afore you can get back down to the boat.

Be nice to tie up at Rochester pier. Most of it will be found in stangate creek by then!

.............went to have a look today, the situation appears to have got even worse, suspect those big tides finally did for it.
One of the Peel boats boats was alongside this afternoon.
Wonder if somebody will now have to find the find the cash to fix it.
Only public access to river now is Sun Pier.
Some debate about who actually owns Rochester Pier.
Cost Peels Ports money when they disputed the ownership of the bridge and lock gates at Faversham, recently.

Peel Ports London Medway invites all vessels to participate in a synchronised salute from their horns at 12:00 on Saturday 4 June 2022 to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. All UK ports have been approached by the Secretary of State for Transport to assist in the co-ordination of the tribute. Notice to Mariners No 27 of 2022 refers.
Note this is a nationwide maritime salute and is separate from the Queen’s Jubilee Pageant organised by Tiller & Wheel on behalf of Medway Council, which will include a 21 gun salute and “Grand Cacophony” at Chatham at 15:30.
