Queen Elizabeth

Her sister, Cunards Queen Elizabeth - no small vessel - is currently limping around Iceland missing ports due to a failed bow thruster. (Source, Cunard fan Facebook groups). In her first season, she limped around Canaries likewise, with a support lorry and divers following to fix thrusters.

I think the Navy have the right idea, KISS - besides, rock up in a warship, and there’s always someone to help with lines ;)

No, shafts.

As Norman says, she’s not meant to go into harbours very often, unlike cruise ships which stop almost daily to let their cargo of slack-jawed grockles overwhelm a new place. Part of the design is a pair of large personnel-carrying launches, so even when she does stop the expectation seems to be that it will often be at anchor with the matelots getting their run ashore by tender.
