I'd quite like an old-fashioned equivalent, canvas filled with linseed or tallow or something, but I think it would have to be home made to be authentic and the old sails I have off KS are terylene

Yes, definitely. Count me in.

I already have a stash of 'biodegradable' Tesco carrier bags. We could market jackets made from them as being environmentally friendly and therefore charge a premium - say, £299.99. We need a slogan though. What about, "You don't have to go to Cuba to get a green jacket" ?

That was clever. Comparing a thick Musto offshore jacket with a Quba non waterproof windcheater.

I have nice Gortex waterproof jacket which is a bit more than a wind cheater, but is not an offshore Musto type jacket.

It cost me £59 and it fits well and still looks like new three years later.

Mind you, I don't have this need to wear a designer label.

Bloody hell, always assumed they were waterproof at the very least. Their web site states NOT! £299 for a tailored piece of old sailcloth. Not for me thanks even though I do own a mobo...............

If anyone has bought one of those they are either seriously wealthy or seriously stupid. Or maybe both.

They must have really large windows at Quba.
