We berth in Portishead, Bristol Channel, and our marina has announced they are to merge with Dean & ReddyHoff

I see D&R are south coast based, any of their customers on here any observations or views?

Quay Marinas seem to run an orderly ship, I can't help but wonder if, as a berth holder, I will see any noticeable differences

I'm a happy D&R customer andas long as the marina continues to be maintained and the staff remain helpful and friendly, and it doesn't get too expensive, I'm sure I'll remain happy. Never heard of Quay Marinas till now.

We are with quay ,superb marina

Both companies probably too small to cope with the headwinds that marina operators expect to be facing. I expect to see more mergers. The only competition issues with this merger are the ones that already exist (Penarth & Portishead in same ownership so not really competitors, ditto Weymouth & Portland). The staff we have met when visiting D&R marinas while cruising have always been very good, we have no complaints.

Iain, you have been to a D&R Marina, Rafiki is berthed at Deacons. For us, it is better run than Portishead, albeit more expensive due to the location. Anita and I were saying we are looking forward to some free nights in Penarth :D

We might own a lease

I feel for you Boet

you lucked out
