Has anyone got any recommendations for where I can buy high quality plastic glassware for use on my boat ? I don't want disposable and want something robust to be washed without getting scratched too quickly. Looking for High-ball, Tumblers and Wine glasses too.

Thanks for any advice

There’s some very good nearly unbreakable glass where .JFM knows the name he recommended it yrs ago .On that we upgraded from marina chandlery plastic and it’s great .Yes eventually plastic becomes opaque Pastis positively turns it into bathroom window esq opaqueness .

I know it’s subjective verging on snobbery but any wine imho actually does taste better from glass .Or serving up guests with plastic just feels cheap and tacky .In the Med you can cool glass too.

We haven’t broken one , but I am reassuring they don’t shatter just break into say two easy clean up pieces .

Don't do plastic, because it feels like plastic. Do Kwarx glass instead. Plenty of suppliers but in UK I'd recommend Drinkstuff.co.uk, who sell direct and through amazon. Suggest you just type "kwarx" into amazon search box. The glassware/stemware manufacturers who make from Kwarx glass include chef+sommelier and a few others.

You can youtube it to see how unbreakable it is. It does ultimately break, but when it does the glass edge elasticates inwards so it doesn't form as sharp an edge as normal broken glass.

Highly recommended, after 12 years use on my part, and not particularly expensive.

Thank you. In fact I cannot believe I'd forgotten about Drinkstuff as I bought my cinema seating from them some years back.

Looked on their website and that's the perfect solution plus I will order crockery from them too, although will go over to their facility and select that based on style/quality when physically seen.
