QHM Volunteer

I had an engine failure around the NAB tower last Sunday on my way to Portsmouth. I called QHM to seek permission to enter under sail. They put me through to the QHM Volunteer boat who came out about half a mile to meet us, stood outside us in the entrance in case we drifted out of the small boat channel and then towed us into Campers. Superb boat handling, friendly, totally professional and would not even accept a penny in appreciation!

He'd be much to shy to admit it in public, but I believe you were "rescued" by one of our esteememememeed forum members. He was telling me about his "shift" on QHM Volunteer duty when we had a "swift beer" (try 3) on Monday night, when I see him next (Thursday) I will question him further!
