Anyone heard any more about this or have I missed an earlier post somewhere?

QHM
"SUNKEN YACHT NORTH CHANNEL

1. A 15 FOOT YACHT IS SUNK AND AWASH IN POSITION 50 DEG 47.37N 001 DEG 14.77W. THE MAST AND SAILS ARE SHOWING AT LOW WATER. VESSELS NAVIGATING IN THIS AREA SHOULD PROCEED WITH CAUTION."

And 29 May, same wording, so I guess it is the same one. A Flying Dutchman if memory serves correctly?
ed. but slightly differnt position, maybe it just surfaced again?

Re: QHM & Sunken \"Yacht\"

I once referred to my 17ft Silhouette as a Yacht when inviting a young lady down for the weekend. She trotted along the quay, peered over the edge, turned on her heels and got back on the train . . .

Since then I've qualified my use of the term to something a little larger. Anyway, a FD is a dinghy not a yacht surely?

Re: QHM & Sunken \"Yacht\"

I use to do exactly the opposite. I always talk about this very little boat of mine and when the girl comes she finds it bigger than she thought and "hey you can even sleep in it....". /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Very similar navwarn to the one in May this year but a slightly different position. About 0.8nm away. More likely to be a Flying Fifteen than a Flying Dutchman if it sank.
