Is anyone else reaching "information overload" with all of the NTM's from QHM.

I do like to keep up to date - but at the moment it's really hard to read one before another pops up.

Latest offerings just received includes a complete revision of the Dockyard Port of Portsmouth Order including comments from a reviewer - presumably at court?

No doubt I'll miss the one that says all white boats are to be excluded permanently from Portsmouth as they don't like white boats!

Cheers

Well it's like this....

Q.. What's the last thing that Christopher Columbus said to his crew before they set sail for India/America ???

A. "Get in the boat lads !!!"

Perhaps we have a new QHM Portsmouth who is a bit over eager on the helm?

My policy is to ignore the NTM's, instead I follow the biggest ship in on the assumption it knows the way and the rules ;-)

Agree entirely. Knickers seem to be getting seriously twisted ahead of next week's shindig. All this even after they started with advance warnings last year and they are still making last minute changes.

I'm sure I saw one that said the North Channel was closed from Wednesday 22nd as the exclusion zone comes in to effect. But yesterday evening from Hill Head I saw a small RoRo ship going down the North Channel and straight through the anchorage.

And what about all those saluting guns! 21 guns from the forts for each foriegn warship answered by 21 guns from HMS Invincible.

Thought the navy was short of cash. Do they actually have enough ammo to make all these bangs or do they have a poor matelot with a large hammer, an oil drum & a PA system?

Don't you mean the red team?

Sailed out of Portsmouth last night for a quick drift around, there were so many inflatibles with gorillas at the helm all looking for a fight with a terrorist. At one point 7 MOD Police inflatibles 3 GRP MOD Police boats, 2 Police launches and 2 harbour master launches. Is there something going on?

A friend was out the night before last and saw a minesweeper working in the fleet anchorage. 3 all round greens in a triangle. You don't see that every day. (Or do I mean every night?)
