QARK AO31 MULTIPLEXER AND NASA AIS; SEATALK INPUTS AND WIND WITH NAVIONICS

I'm sorry for such a complex title! I have 2, related questions relating to it:

1. I have recently purchased a QARK Multiplexer. Setting it up to take the input from my (old-ish) Raymarine instruments and rebroadcast it on WiFi was very simple. The Navionics app on my tablet displays speed and depth. However, the tablet will not show the output from the wind instruments in the app. I'm guessing this is something to do with the setup of the app?
2. I similarly connected the NMEA output from the AIS engine to the Multiplexer. (Ground to (-ve) and Data to Positive terminal on the Qark). The AIS continues to output data to a built in plotter on the boat, but I cannot get its data to appear on the Tablet. I have used an input baud of 38000 and tried various output baud rates all without success.

Can anyone please suggest what I am doing wrong?
