Pyfleet visitor moorings

From recent experience, it's £10 per night but only charged if you stay the whole night.

Last time I was on a mooring there (last season) I was told that there was nothing to pay as I was leaving at 0200.

Anchoring is better value, even if it's a Bruce ;)

Thanks.

Well, we had a relaxing run to Pyefleet yesterday and anchored just above the last of the moorings. Nice peaceful evening. Lovely place. Note to self though, make sure the anchor has dug in before going to bed. Do not rely on the twenty meters of chain you carefully laid in front of boat as son motors gently backwards. Lucky it was not windy last night.
When I recovered the chain this morning the anchor came up clean as a whistle and had certainly not buried itself.

Rough sail back with strong wind against tide. The Bradwell chop doing its stuff!

Great fun, if a little tiring. Need a w/end off to recover from the w/end!!

Steve.

Ahh good stuff. Sounds like you had a good time.

The Bradwell Chop. Know it well. Many an occasion I've had my backside off the deck, whilst faffing with the head-sail. (Damned Hank-on's :-) )
