120W for two 110Ah lead acid batteries
I use the boat during the winter, that's when I am most concerned about charging obviously
Small fridge and 2kw Eber diesel heater used 20hrs a week max winter time

The MPPT is more efficient when its cold ?
not bothered about the extra cost, I want to avoid running the engine to charge, no shore power

You won't be getting any power worth speaking about in winter, PWM or MPPT, and definitely not with only 120W panel.

I have 100W into a PWM controller, which doesn't to do much even in summer, so I'm going to add 2x245W panels into a 40A Tracer MPPT controller, in the hope of getting something meaningful.
