For some reason the clickable link does not work so you will need to copy and paste it into the address bar on your browser.

Found out a bit more info. (all hearsay BTW). It appears the 'victims' were acting like complete morons showing no regard to speed limits or other users and there were a few incidents including abusing a youngster on a wakeboard who was 'in their way' and generally taking off at full throttle from the beach, showering anyone in their proximity.

Fortunately, at Herne Bay there is usually a member of Canterbury Council's shore patrol team permantly on the launch area and he does a great job of keeping things in order. Unfortunately, he was off sick this weekend.

Looks like what goes around, comes around.

I remember Arthur Woood highlighting the fact that they have little water rage in Florida, and suggesting that this could be linked to not knowing exactly what firepower the other person carried and may well be prepared to use!

In one sense it is a shame that it wasn't '2 family estate cars stopped the jetskiers and illustrated their displeasure at the way they had ruined people day on the water by............'.

At least in Poole now a quick call on 14 tends to result in a response from PHC weekends (before 1830) to such extremes of behaviour.

Yeah, £2,000 is the minimum that being rude and inconsiderate should cost, right? The cuts and bruises from the broken glass are just a bonus.
I can't believe you think that was somehow justified.

I was not condoning what happened. Infact, my last sentence in the second paragraph where I say it was unfortunate that the shore patrol was not present hopefully implies totally the opposite to my support for the event.

makes you think twice about remonstrating with 'one of them'.

on the other hand you can't help feeling a smug sense of poetic justice!
