Just going to revamp my very old water system and like the loook of these push fit systems, but do they provide a connection to the taps? Everything else seems possible, 90 degree bends, inline valves and a connector to the pump, but l haven't seen any tap connections?

Anyone used these systems and where to buy from on south coast?

Screwfix sell it all, including tap connectors.

Be aware that vibration can be an in issue, all the pipework should be clipped, so the joints are not stressed.

I replumbed my bathroom in pushfit, and bought it all from BES. Only trouble is now they assume I'm a pro plumber and keep sending me catalogues :)

I'm sure they have tap connectors.

homebase, bnq and so one

did my mates boat in push fit 2 weeks ago.

they do connectors for taps.

they also fit onto 15mm copper pipe.

in our case we just pushed the connector on, twisted it and that's it.

it really is that simple.

Be warned though. Once you have joined two pipes with a speedfit joint, it is Gods own job to remove it.

Removing pushfit couplings from the pipe ?.

When the pipe is pushed home into the coupling a gentle pull will see a retaining ring in the neck pop out a couple of millimetres. To remove coupling (or seperate pipe) push the retaining ring back into the coupling, hold in while pulling pipe from coupling. Works every time.

I have used a 'stop end coupling' for temporary use on pipe runs until finding time to extend my runs, or removed a right angle to convert to a tee.

Have fun

Oops ! Meant to tell you to make sure you use the pipe inserts in the ends of plastic pipe, no need when using copper pipe.

Jeanneau use standard push fit plumbing for hot & cold water. I have them in my Jeanneau 42DS (see attached picture). Never had any problems with leaks but I suppose they might degrade over time. However, I suspect that they will last quite a while and it's easy to obtain replacements.

I imagine that other production builders will also use them.

Not really. Just press in the locking ring with the special tool (rather grandiose term for a C-shaped bit of plastic) and it lets go. If fitted, you first need to remove the safety circlip to let the ring go in.
