My Beneteau has push-button locker catches and one has jammed. I've tried WD40 to no avail and since I can't get inside the locker to dismantle the catch I'm stymied. Any ideas?

Oh heck... sounds nasty!

If they are like mine, then something thin, yet stiff down the gap behind the locker lid to push the catch downwards might work?.. something like a piece of the plastic parcel wrapping strip so favoured by car criminals of the 1980's?

If they are like these:

Then they do stick occassionally. The best way we have found to free them is a sharp bang just above or below the catch with your fist. A couple of goes normally pops them open if they are fast. If they are the ones above however, you need to make sure you have pushed them an odd number of times (ie if you push them twice it will stay locked, if you push once, or three times then it will be in the un-locked position - hope that makes sense)?

I have the same problem, be patient and try the gentle nudge method described above, failing that I have used a hair dryer to warm the offending locker front and catch.

They are in the Vetus catalogue.
I have found thet sometimes when they jam they can be freed by unscrewing the knob anticlockwise a turn or two.
Not too far or the knob will come off.
