Morning all,

Any recommendations for a decent quality pure sine wave 12V inverter as looked on Amazon and so many to choose from. Also realistically priced?

Would be used to power the occasional power tools, small washing machine (does not heat the water just rotates etc) and maybe a 800w microwave occasionally.

This is to avoid using the 4Kv generator we have plumbed in when at anchor etc.

If you are after reliability you need a low frequency inverter. These are considerably heavier than the cheap inverters you see on Ebay. My 3000w inverter weighs 26kg. I understand they are better at tolerating motor loads long term. We blew up a cheap 3000w inverter running our 1500w watermaker motor after about 12months. No problems since we switched to LF three years ago
