Purchasing Secondhand in Ireland

Buying From Ireland

I lived in N. Ireland until a few years ago and over there the only issue was the exchange rate, if using a broker BJ marine ( Beneteau) are both sides of the border (Uk Branch in Bangor marina) and will probably take whatever currency you offer I am sure this applies to others. Because there is a land border everyone in business both sides knows how to benefit from it. The legal systems and commercial rules are similar, as like most things they are governed by the EU. For years a lot of people imported their cars from the South and it is where everyone buys their diesel. However while the Euro exchange rate has improved it is still excrement, that is why all the brokers offices in UK are full of Danes and N. Irish border towns are thriving. MY first new boat was an Achilles built in Wales , sent on the ferry to Rosslare then trailed back in to the UK and that was before the EU.
Did you know this site does not accept a four letter word for excrement that begins with C
