Pulling Power

What an appalling, sexist article. It could only be worse (being Australian) if women were referred to as 'shelias'. Does this really sell magazines these days?.
It is neither the sort of boat or sort of article that I would want to identify with, or indeed the sort of girls probably, but it is being a bit naive to think that such attitudes towards attracting women are not widespread, or even inevitable. I don't see anything inherently improper about using a boat to attract women, any more than cars, or, for that matter, women discussing which colour lipstick is most likely to attract attention from men.

I thought it was all about having a bit of tongue in cheek fun . No one was forced to do anything. Not even having to buy a magazine. It's rather disheartening coming to Scuttlebutt these days but I can see why .
