I have a FleetGuard (FF10?) pre-fuel filter/separator on my Sealine. It seems to have a drain at the bottom consisting of a screw thread with a flat top in an inverted T arrangement. The flat top looks like it is designed to have a flat blade screwdriver inserted. Anyone know if this is a drain or whether this is just for removing the filter? If so, how do I open the drain? Certainly not the usual glass bowl/tap arrangement.

I'll ask Sealine tomorrow, but thought I might get a quick answer to a dumb question on here first!

The flat topped bit is just so you can get some purchase on it with your fingers like a wing nut and once loosened it allows the contents of the filter to drain through a central hole.

I have always found them to be fairly tight but just about moveable by hand with a rag to protect your fingers. The filters themselves are spin on.

The idea is that you undo it a bit with yer hand and let the water out. I usually stick a wine glass under so I can see if any water in. It does taste a bit funny after, but with a few ice cubes and a dry ginger, you soon get used to it.
