Does anyone know what the make is of the pull pull wheel steering system on a Dehler 37 1984? This is the Van de Stadt Dehler built from 1981 to 1986. I need to replace the sprocket which has worn. I have searched the internet and the only sprocket I can find that resembles mine is the Edson single hub sprocket but the website is in USA and the price of their sprockets is very high (in my view)
Any help would e appreciated. Thanks

Any idea what size chain (assuming there is chain somewhere)? There are specialist motorcycle sprocket companies in the UK who might be able to graft new teeth onto your hub, or even supply one from scratch depending on shaft dimensions. It's many years since I've used them, but they weren't expensive. I'd be happy to see if they're still in business and get contact info.

Sprockets can be bought from industrial suppliers and bored to fit perhaps?
I expect the chain is worn too? as it does all the work on a small length....
Try Ondrives?

Thanks Macd. I thought that might be the way to go. If you have any details that would be great.
Thanks Lw395 the chain is OK (sprocket is copper bronze which seems soft to me but I am not an engineer. ) I will take it off and visit an industrial supplier as you suggest and also see wait Macd comes up with.
Many thanks

Thanks. On first viewing it looks like the sprocket shown is a twin hub and mine is single hub but it is very close. I will investigate this further. Thanks

It would be usual to use standard engineering components like these.

I'd turf out both the chain and the sprocket at this point. Grab a length of 5/8" single roller chain, just make sure it is at least AISI304- Fenner or the likes will help there- because that is the usual size. Count the number of teeth on the sprocket- it should be 11, and replace your chain with a piece about 800mm long.
PM me if you need some more detailed info.

Thanks Adamastor. I have just been looking at the details of of Fenner and your advice look sensible. I will be checking this out further and seeing if I can get the components here in Ireland.
