I'm planning to visit Puerto Pollensa in Majorca this July and would like to know if anyone has a berth at the Club Nautico or Port Authority Marina which they would be interested in renting for the month of July.

My sailboat is 14 meters with a beam of 4.1 metres. Draft is 1.6 metres.

Thanks

I used to have a small boat that I kept at PP. We were allocated a different berth each year we were in the water (usually July and August). Miguel the harbourmaster seems to have some kind od a deal with the berthholders, which allows him to rent out their space when they are not at home.

By the sound of things you are already aware that it is a busy marina. If I was in a cruising boat there on a holiday I would stay on the visitors quay for the 3 days allowed and then anchor in the bay which is very sheltered most of the time.

PM me if you want more info...

Thanks for the reply PK,

The lady at Club Nautico was helpful but said she was unable to confirm a berth this far in advance and I should enquire again about a week before arriving.

My plan is to anchor in the bay as you suggest but during July I will have to return home for some days and would be happier to leave the boat in the marina.

There is only one number listed for both Club Nautico and the Port Authority Marina which I understand is much cheaper anyway, do you happen to know the phone number of the Port Authority?

Happy sailing

If you call 971 866 462 this is a company called Motonautica Bonaire in PP. They used to overwinter our boat for us.. If you ask them for the number of Miguel at the port they will almost certainly give you it..

Also I have an acetate A4 chartlet of Pollensa Bay that I made a few years back. You are welcome to it if you think it would be usefull. PM me if you want more info.

Or you could hire me to pop over and look after your boat for you for the days you can't be there in July.... I'd pay my own air fare... And my hourly rates are bloody cheap.. :-) :-)

there is a public quay and the club quay massive difference in prices will try and get you a breakdown and let you know as i am here in porto cristo looking for work but living on my boat on the public quay jon

Thank you both PK and Jon, I'll see how I get on regarding Miguel, and if I have problems I will be back in touch.

Hi Peter,
The moorings in the public marina sometimes become available via Miguel the harbourmaster, they are only available for rent when a berth holder has their boat out of the water, July is a difficult month to get a mooring but it's worth a try the number for Miguel is 0034-971-866867 or alternativly the visitors quay on the outside wall of th club nautica, but they are expensive, the number there is 0034-971-864-635.
Good Luck.
