Almerimar + 1

Called in at Duquesa a few years ago.

Asked if they had a 15m berth by VHF.

Yes we have a 15m berth free.

Moored up only to find they wanted to charge for a 20m berth.

Went outside the breakwater and anchored for 2 days in full sight of the office.

Estepona, Fuengirola or Benalmadena as an alternative in the area.

Duquesa is a friendly place, with good services and transport. There are available berths 12m and 15m.

I sail along this area regularly! La Duquesa is one of the friendliest marinas there. Bad bits, strong easterlies in the winter make the entrance hazardous although inside is sheltered. Long way from either Gib or Malaga airports. Lots of berths available.

Estepona also has a few berths, same thing re airport. Prices as La D, same company.

Sotogrande bit more expensive.

Best winter deals seem to be Alcaidesa Marina, La Linea with the advantage of 10 mins walk to airport.

Do PM if you have any questions. :encouragement:
