I have a small inflatable dinghy with an outboard which I can inflate at the water's edge. Could you tell me if there are any free public hards to launch from around Poole Harbour?

Cheers

The only free slipway/hard I know of in Poole Harbour is at Hamworthy beach at the end of the road by the Yachtsman Pub, there is Baiter Park car park but you will have to pay for parking and also the inner part of the Sandbanks road where all the windsurfers go, apart from that, as far as I know these facilities are very restricted.

Hope this helps a bit

Lake pier has a slip, albeit that there is a bollard to restrict access. The car park is free but I wouldn’t leave a car there overnight.

Given the benign conditions and the portably nature of the craft surely you can just launch from any waterside that you can access?
This would include the river bank at Wareham (at one extreme) to the beach at Shell Bay (at the other) - or even Sanbanks beach itself and motor back into the harbour.
Or am I missing something?
