...last night was hilarious to watch. How many other forum members were there watching it?

I didnt stay until the end of the quiz as my presence was requested in the Guinness Bar (which we were kicked out of sometime just before ten if I remember correctly).

Was there with Forbsie and Kim. Who won in the end?

Damn, I missed you. I was standing at a table beside the roped off bit with Stingo (looking incredibly like Jack Nicholson) and the Rt. Hon Kim Hollamby. I did wear my forum badgefor a while but I seem to remember that I lost it at some point. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I also think I may have lost the badge. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

How can the 'creme de la creme' of the forum come last ?

Does this mean collectively we know bugger all or as some people have suspected what we talk about all day is a load of old boll*cks ?

Who were the smart arse b*astards who won then ?

Canal and Inland Waterways magazines. We think the beards helped.

Our royal navy ringers were excellent - at first we thought the compare being ex RN would help, but he took the cheap gags instead and docked us many a point for being 'royal navy smart arses' - was all a very good laugh /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We actually anwered lots of questions but came a cropper when we answered back. So I suppose we did talk too much bollocks. never mind it was great fun, free beer and a signed piccie of the quiz master. Er ....... who was he ?

Canal boaters don't even have proper boats let alone know what the sea looks like.

What were the questions...

Name the lock keeper at Teddington ?

What's the earliest you can get through the lock at Henley ?

Oh well at least it was fun... I'll try and support 'our boys' next year.'

Has anybody actually named our team and do you think we should introduce squad rotation like they do in footie ?
