PTFE Spray has been mentioned on this forum before. I have been unable to trace any retailer of this product. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Well this may or may not help, but I managed to buy a tin in a Chandlers back in the summer. Good news eh?

Ah but, the thing is the chandler's are in Nieuwpoort, Belgium. So not good news.

The tin's on the boat and I'll have a look at the weekend for the manufacturer and will post name and address here.

Sort of helps a bit eh? In that you know the info's coming. A bit like Christmas.

A thousand pardons and a picture of my sister, anything but an mbc verbal- as my old Dad used to say - 'no-one likes a smart-arse, son'

Somewhere in my mind i seem to have this (maybe incorrect) idea that PFTE spray is the same as teflon spray. Thats obtainable everywhere is it not?
Happy sailings

Rabbie,
There's your answer; PFTE spray is widely available in DIY shops as Teflon spray for general lubrication.
I use the stuff for all sorts of lub jobs including hoisting a rag soaked with the spray through the sail groove in the mast to keep the runners running.

Happy sailings
