A lot of faff compared to a Volvo /Radice seal...

I'm replacing the second orbitrade seal I've had in 5 years, may be ok on a newer boat but doesn't like mine

My Rival 34 (1978) is taking that as quite a compliment

Seems a lot more vulnerable than a traditional grease-packed seal which has no bellows that if split/come loose allow the sea to flood in and you can't stop it? Quite apart from being several times the price.
