Definately getting wet, so keeping fingers crossed you can, but if not I'm aiming to get out onto tidal ASAP so hope to meet up soon. Never know, I might shock all and make it to the pirates weekend yet.
Duly suggested to the ever so 'helpful' person on the phone, they didn't even tell me I could download the form, but was most insistant that it would have to be by post. Oh I love that place really, not. Problem I have is that Sixpence has been out of the water for so long that I want her on my pontoon till I'm happy with her, and the only way to do that is by using the slipway or pay £300-00 for a crane (last quote) so not much choice really.

Unfortunately the launch is to be delayed for one week

In which case, weather gods permitting, we should be bobbing around the coast of Denmark, so I'll raise a glass of "probably the best lager in the world" to a successful launch....

Have you got the Boat safety certificate? they will not give you a river licence if you dont have the safety cert, theres a guy in Peterborough who came out to my boat and did the inspection, cost from memory was about 70 quid.
I had a 7 day visitor Licence.
All I had to do was sign a declaration that she complied.
Which she does as far as I am aware.
I stated that she had a sea toilet fitted and no holding tank.
Licence issued.
I think you only need the certificate if you apply for a permanent licence.
You can get a 30 day visitors one.
