Well I'm hoping to be ready on time, and at long last everything is going smoothly for a change, so for all those that said they wanted to see her slipped, the date (to be confirmed) is 7th June 2008. Not in a position to lay on the copious quantities of alcohol and food that I would like to supply /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif , but if anyone wants to join me and Louise in our long awaited celebrations, let me know and I'll forward the exact location and time.
Just so you'll recognise her, here she is with her new name and logo /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

7 days and counting.

Lynn & I will forgo a weekend on Full Circle to come up and see the launch, and of course toast the restorers.

What a difference to the sad little Debutante that left Canvey Island not so long ago.

Well done Dave & louise, press on to make it happen.

Thanks Jim, very much appreciated. As you know from our chats, she has worked better than Immac at removing the hair from my head, and without the help from Louise I would have lost even more hair.
Aim is to launch at one location and motor around to my mooring, then have a 'celebration'. If you or anyone else fancies a weekend camping, we have plenty of room for people to pitch tents, or dare I say, even caravans /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
We may not live in the poshest of homes, but we do have about three acres of apple orchard to accomodate anyone wishing to stop over under canvas (can even supply one if needed), so the intention is to light up the BBQ at home as soon as she makes it to my pontoon just outside. If anyone wants to bring something to chuck on the flames, all will be welcomed as usual.

Chris, been at it too many hours over the past few days and just downloaded over 400 pics /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif but this one shows a bit more (curtesy of FullCircle himself /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif ) the means to power from launch to first mooring

Ooh, that's a nice little number!

I like it Dave, keep it as a mobo as long as poss /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Dont want to have to bother with those rag things /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Whoops /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif , sorry, the location of the actual launch is dependant on that nice man from the EA /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Aiming to slip on the river Glen, just outside Spalding, then motor around to my home mooring. If you can make it, it would be very much appreciated, and as soon as I get confirmation as to which slipway I'm using, I'll let you know.
Not aiming at being secretive, but at the moment there are three slipways to choose from, and all depends on the EA and which one they will allow me to use. All are good, but the best one is brand new so not sure they want me to test it with a 21ft Debutante just yet /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The FullCircles are no strangers to camping, and will be delighted to pitch a tent in your scrumping patch.

Here is a picture of the 'tent' I used to pitch at Rallies.....

complete with cooking and drinking equipment.

And here is a picture of Lynn & I on our very first weekend away together. Note the altogether swisher piece of tentage.

So thanks, we will see you next weekend. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

In that case, we may be able to assist with the supply of a large tent and inflatable mattress /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif just to add a little comfort /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Good luck with the launch. If you ever make it as far as the Blackwater you'll find another debutant on mooring C3 at Marconi SC - My friend's boat and lovingly cared for too...

Thanks Simon, if you've got any pics I'd love to see them, being ambitious I'm hoping to make it around to your neck of the woods sooner rather than later, so I'm looking forward to meeting him.

Dave,

all the very best for the launch - Sixpence looks lovely. Fantastic work from both of you.

We'll be en-route to join our friends on their boat in North Germany at the weekend, so I'll raise eine grosse bier to a successful launch...

cheers

John

Cheers John, hope you have a good trip.

Unfortunately the launch is to be delayed for one week, it seems we have to register with the EA for them to issue a key, and this process means they send me paperwork which I fill in and send back to them with payment (of however much they decide) before they issue a key to the security gate at the best slipway. If this process is completed before next Saturday it will be nothing short of a miracle, so I am delaying the launch by one week only. The launch date is going to be Saturday 14th, hope this doesn't change things for you Jim ?.
Anyone else likely to be able to make it for the new date, please let me know.
Presuming the process will be completed in time, the launch will be onto the river Glen, at Surfleet slipway. Failing that it will be on the river Welland, at Croyland.
Fingers crossed for the Glen as it means I only have to travel a couple of miles before I reach my pontoon.

Stuff that. Put it in at Ramsholt. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Oh don't tempt me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Not sure my trailer would get away with a long journey though /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I take it you still require a pitch at chez Sixpence ? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Not if you aint gonna gedditwet.

Dunno whether we can make the following weeekend, think Lynn has committed us to summink family.
