Thank you to all those who kindly sponsored Charlotte and Matthew, who today completed the Great Eastern Run.... A few blisters, and certainly aching legs!

Between them they raised around £120 which will go half to the RNLI and half to 'Anna's Hope', a very deserving charity that provides support to Children with terminal brain tumours.

Across the Peterborough area, amongst the 4,800 runners, an extraordinary 1,600 young people under the age of 16 came together to run for Anna's Hope, and at the close will have raised enough money to fund 3 full time nurses for the next year.

A reminder, that is all to easily forgotten in this day and age's press coverage, that not all young people are hoodies who live on mugging elderly ladies, and drinking vodka on street corners.

I am very impressed and proud of their acheivement.

Well done you two!

Well done both, brilliant effort, as a former runner I know how knackered they're going to be so they have my full sympathy. Absolutely excellent effort and very pleased for them, they should feel very proud of themselves.

Er, Neil, I must have missed the sponsor thing ?
I know we're skint but can normally come up with something :o

Great stuff Kids!

But you managed to miss us out of the donation sting.

Put us down for a belated tenner.

Well as it seems I'm not the only one to be missed, can't manage much at the moment but stick us down for a fiver. Need to arrange a meet soon anyway, I hear Charlotte is quite keen on meeting Tikaani, so will cough up the dosh when we get together Neil

Pass on our congratulations.

I think we gave you the sponsorship money in advance - there was no way after getting all that sponsorship that they weren't going to do the run! Well done!
