Has anyone used this stuff as deck paint? Am thinking of using the cream UVR variety on a previously painted, GRP deck and wondered whether anyone else had had good or bad experiences with it.

From the web site descriptions, it should adhere to the old paint without problems.

Seems an expensive alternative to good ol' Dulux or B&Q weathershield exterior textured paint. (Five years in the blazing sun of Plymouth and Staines, and it will need renewing this year /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif )

Am I just mean or what ?

I had a sample of the stuff. Very grippy and looked good but the granules are very coarse (approx 2mm), so it could be uncomfortable on bare feet or for sitting on.

Looks interesting, but I don't think I'll be changing from International Interdeck, also polyurethane and brushes to a nice even finish which is comfortable to bare feet as well as being really non-slip. There are rather cheaper marine enamel non-slip paints, I know. Dulux with added sand? Yuk! Smeary, uncomfortable, poor wearing, and not really as effective. As for Weathershield - why not go the whole hog and pebbledash your yacht? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Umm...not sure that pebbledash would be non-slip...but would certainly make the boat stick out from the crowd. No more AWB!

How often do you need to repaint your decks with Interdeck?
