Prosser Marine move out of Largs Marina.

Heard at the weekend that Prosser Marine have fallen out with Largs Marina, and subsequently arranged to take aload of berths and ground space at Kip marina.
They are having to up sticks and move everything, would be pretty costly, I'd think.

Prossers are pretty big up here, I would think Largs Marina would miss them, but then maybe not.

Yes I confirm that Prosser marine are moving to Kip. I was speaking to Stan Prosser last weekend down at the marina and he told me that he was sad to be leaving Largs as he had many friends there. But he had to think from a business point of view, like we all do and the deal that he had been offered at Kip was far superior than what he had been offered at Largs. I think Largs will miss him and although I have not had any business dealings with him , although lots of my friends have I found him to be a great guy and wish them all the best for the future.

Its good to hear it's a business thing.

The story i heard from 2 different people( 1 at Kip, and 1 at Largs) on Saturday was completely different to yours.

I have bought a boat from Stan, and will buy another if it was something i wanted, My wife and I have always found him a delight to speak to, and will visit them in Kip when they move, and wish them all the best with it.

Having bought a number of boats from Stan I will be sorry to see Prosser's leave Largs. I have always found him and his staff to be courteous and helpful. Novio will know of an electrical problem I had last season whilst in Oban that was resolved after a call to Stan and him getting a marine electrician to fix the problem the following day. I have just bought a new boat from Prosser's and would like to think I will keep it for a few years - if I don't it will be another new one from Prosser's. I would also like to wish Stan all the best in his venture to Kip Marina and I'm sure Kip Marina wil gain from the presence of Prosser's.
