Propshaft trueness

I have no formal knowledge of this guff. However, assuming there is a flexible coupling, this sounds a piddling deviation to me. Nothing on my entire boat is that accurate! Having said that, I have a fairly agricultural set-up with a wee Farymann engine and things do vibrate a lot. They've been doing so for a good few thousand engine hours and it still seems to work. I guess you lot have higher performance systems. Mine goes through a traditional stern gland to a 12 inch prop and the max engine revs are 3000 rpm.

However - just 'cos agricultural is good enough for me doesn't mean it's right.
