propshaft split coupling torque settings?

After renewing cutless bearing I'm close to putting it all back together and wonder if anybody has guidance about the torque settings for the 4 bolts, 6mm hex insert, on the split clamp, please. Obviously I don't want to either strip threads or crack the heads but wish it to be more secure than when taken apart! 25mm shaft.

This may be of some help, bit of loctite can't hurt either as it will also keep out the water.

Just get stuck in - you wont strip a decent bolt in a steel coupling using a hand spanner. In any case there should be a roll pin through the coupling so you dont need it silly tight.

With the correct length key for the socket you should be able to tighten it correctly by hand. No danger of overtightening. The shafts and the coupling need to be clean and free of grease.
