Hello All,
I would like to up-date everyone with Queenborough Harbour. Though we are indeed charging £12.00 per boat we are supplying a free trot boat service.
Between July and August we will be changing the hours of the trot operation. It is presently running Friday to Monday 08.00 - 10.00 and 16.00 - 22.00. We will be changing the operation during July and August on Saturday and Sundays to run 10.00 - 22.00. Other days the times will remain in place.
You can contact Queenborough Harbour on Channel 08 call sign Sheppey one or call 01795 662051.

Plan to depart on my holiday cruise on east coast this weekend. Is this trip still on? If so, I'll see you all in Qbrough on the Saturday evening, weather permitting........................who am I kidding, it's gorgeous out there!!!

Gitane will be the vivacity650, white hull with dark blue band at the top. Never got around to painting on the boat name.

Gitane

It is on, but we are all arriving different times. We will be going via Heybridge, Tollesbury, West Mersea and Medway.....

Weather and crew permitting Sirenia will be there.
Evo 25 - blue hull, white cabin, blue spray hood.
Sail number K9
Intending to sneek out of the Deben on the 1st of the ebb on the Friday.
Over night in Sholtey leaving about 1 hr before LW up ride the flood up and across the estuary.

We're planning on leaving Pin Mill first thing Friday morning for Queensborough and then Limehouse on Saturday.

As this is my first time to Limehouse I'm assuming the usual strategy is to leave Queensborough approx 1 hour before LW and motor/sail down to arrive Limehouse circa HW +/-1 hour (I notice you can't gain access anyway LW +/- 2 hours)

I seem to recall the tidal flow is particularly strong. I usually motor at 5 knots through the water, are my timings realistic taking into account tidal flow?

Thanks

The Thames get surprising ROUGH at HW, nr limehouse, due to the wash refraction off of the sea walls have fenders rigged ( & stowed inboard early). Radio Lime house up as they have to swing the Narrow St bridge away from the lock. we had to go to see Tr bridge first, like you do.

Just come back from a weeks stay there - The lock keeper's advice was to call them firstly around Greenwich so they can start keeping a look out for you and a second time as you round the final bend opposite the Western side of Canary Wharf.

The day trip boats make the final stretch of water very choppy at times
